What are the details of the UK’s free IVF program?

You must have at least one year registration with a GP. Not sure about how long you need to be in the country although for our fertility treatment to go ahead (planned for 3 IUI’s then IVF) they took copies of our British Passports.
Infertile Women are still allowed at least one round of IVF free on the NHS, this depends on the PCT catchment area of your GP.
Different PCT’s have different rules. Some offer 2 or even 3 (NHS financial watchdog recommended in 2004 that three cycles should be available to infertile couples in which the woman is aged between 23 and 39)
You must have been trying for at least 2 years.
You must have a diagnosed fertility problem.
IVF is only offered where the couple are in a stable relationship of at least 2 years duration – with both partners in good physical and psychological health and regardless of their sexual orientation.
some PCTs will not provide funding for couples where one partner already has a child
BMI of the woman is 30 or less
As said earlier the female partner must be aged between 23-39.
