Posted in ContributorsThe San Francisco Zoo has an elephant named Calle who has a chronic illness, requiring medication. The zoo people couldn’t get Calle to take her dose orally, so a Cal pharmacologist developed a suppository.
The 10-inch-long, four-pound, cocoa-butter bullets are crafted by the good folks at Guittard Chocolates in Burlingame. Administering the DAILY medication takes five zoo workers, including one person to distract Calle with treats and one person who wears full-arm glove to "deliver" the medicine.
FIVE people have jobs worse than yours!

I think being a veterinarian would be the most wonderful job in the world. That would have been my choice. I had the school picked out and everything. UC Davis….
But alas, I loved Mike more…He went to school though..Thank God one of us did. But to this day, if I have a regret..that’s it.

I don’t hate my job but I do hate aspects of it. Most days I probably would rather give an elephant a suppository once, rather than deal with all kinds of unexpected, stressful crap. At least I’d be able to prepare for what I don’t like to do, get it over with and move on.

I really dont like my job , I work in construction , at times its dirty , its also hot in the summer , cold in the winter , and I come home a little tired . On the plus side all the exercize keeps me in shape , keeps my blood sugar down and it pays well , OK its back to work , seeya .
