Health Insurance Online
Had a miscarriage a couple of month ago and have decided that with my next pregnancy I would like to go to a private scan at 8/9 weeks. I think I only have a Nuffield hospital near me. Tried to find out cost but will have to wait to speak to someone on Monday. Can anyone say how much it cost them?
Unfortunately I can’t bring up any information on the internet. Nuffield page doesn’t give prices- such a pain!

My husband has bad bad acid reflux. He’ll wake up in the morning to his stomach hurting and be in the bathroom forever throwing up (to the point of blood) and burping up tons of air that seems to be trapped in his stomach. He also has no appetite. We have been to the doctor for this and he has said that it sounds like acid reflux and probably even ulcers. He prescribed medicine but it does not work and my husbands stomach does not do well with pills (of any kind). He does smoke weed and that is all that seems to help. If he does not have it his stomach will be hurting all day and he will not have an appetite to eat. I have researched the topic and found good information on the subject but on the other hand have seen alot of sights that say the illness has to be chronic in order to be approved. So I would just like to know if anyone living in California has been approved for MMJ for this illness and where did you go? Thank you for all answers they are greatly appreciated.
No they prescribed Prilosec but my husbands stomach can’t take any pills. Any type just hurts his stomach.
Also no they did not do any further checking into the situation. I just go to my town clinic because of my insurance and they arn’t very good doctors period. Infact I don’t even think they are actual doctors but working up to becoming actual doctors.

Yet the government are saying that single and same sex couples should be given IVF as long as they are under 40 years of age. Is this fattism? Are they right to say OK to gays but not to obese women? How will they determine other treatments in the future? Smokers will not get treatment for lung cancer, alcoholics will not get treatment for liver disease!!!
Views and opinions please.
I am delighted to see and hear so many intelligent and thoughtful ansers, but I want to understand, where do we stop in the discrimination of minority groups, and why do we consider minority groups? Why should we not be considering the majority instead? After all, are we not all equal and should expect equal rights?

I want to donate a toy to a child that has illness and was wondering who to donate to, I looked at the St. Jude website and it appears that they only take monetary donations for the research hospital. Just recently lost someone to cancer and want to make a difference to a child in need.

We found out today that my grandmother has cancer and my mother said that the oncologist is planning on using radiation to ease her pain. My question is, what does radiation do? I know, eases pain, but how?
She has lung cancer which has spread to her bones (her back, more specifically).

As an American, I am a little embarrassed about the behavior of some of our citizens at "Town Hall Meetings" where health reform is being dialogued. Maybe you’ve seen them on TV. Despite the white and blue hair and slightly bent postures, they are hired agents provocateurs who have been disrupting the meetings with carefully calculated outbursts, etc. Some melees have apparently occurred, as well. I think it’s the most revolting American behavior since the bad years. To resist health care reform like that, to state that you are not going to pay for another’s insurance because "they’re too lazy to get a job," to serve notice that they’re willing to be led by the nose kicking and screaming by lobbyists to make their point is really disappointing. They can do better, I believe, as we will only be subsidizing ~1/3 of the nation. Those bloody insurance companies and probably the American Medical Association is behind this, I’m sure. Anyway, to think that all 305,000,000 Americans have a fair shot at earning a decent wage to pay for health care privately is damning evidence that my fellow country men are not only at times greedy, but also down right mendacious.
Have you been watching this spectacle in the pubs, etc?
