Does anyone think that plastic surgery can cause low self-esteem?

Posted in Health Insurance Cost

Apart from the obvious example of cosmetic surgery going wrong, do you think cosmetic surgery can cause low self-esteem in people who have it? Do you think the fact people can have cosmetic surgery can cause low self-esteem in those who don’t even undergo it?

Any other reasons you do or don’t think it does?
But, Pro-Vampire, is plastic surgery the cause of that? Or is feeling like you need it just an indicator of low self-esteem?

What do you look for when purchasing travel insurance (Study question)?

Posted in Health Insurance - Free Quotes

What are the key things you look for - is it all about price? do you purchase single or multi trip cover - whats your reasoning behind this?

Do you prefer a company that allows you to budget your cover, like taking off baggage cover, reducing your liability cover?
What makes a travel policy work for you?

Thanks everyone, I am working on a research proposal for an assignment and your fee back will help!

MRSA - Does it occur more in NHS or Private Hospitals, and why?

Posted in Health Insurance Online

Is there somewhere I can go to get the statistics? I’m just curious really and just thinking I should get Private medical insurance to avoid getting ‘kicked when I’m down’.

Cheers! Chris

Side note: I know of too many people who have caught it themselves, I don’t claim to have a ’suitable test group’, but I know it’s a problem. I’m not personally convinced that it’s the fault of the patients visitors, especially considering that some of those that I have contracted it, were fairly lonely and possibly had one visitor per week. Now it’s fairly unlucky that there only visitor would infect them?

should i tell my sister i dropped outof college?

Posted in Contributors

ok here’s the whole story…. im in final year of my degree and i tried to study everyday but between one and another i just couldnt do it. i used to great at studying and enjoyed my course and got As and B+. there were alot of reasons why i couldnt study, mainly ive lost confidence in myself because i was diagnosed with schizophrenia and also im on meds which arent great. i just dont have the same mental clarity or stamina i used to have. and also ive got into very bad habits. ie watching tv and not excercising. i went to counsellor in my college and she said i was going to give myself burn out and that i should accept that i dont have stamina because i had 2 whoppingnervous brakedowns included psychotic episodes in the last 2 years. she suggested i take a year out and build my stamina up and she reckoned if i did that i would regain my enthuasism and stamina for course. also ther was the fact that if i didnt do well in these exams i would forever ruin my chancesof getting into postgrad i wanted. because you cant repeat final year in my college.i felt like a bit of a failure and still do but i decided to take a year out.
my problem now is ihavent told my sister and here’s why…. she is a super studier. shes in a grind school and goes to school from 9-6 and then does 5 hours stuy when she comes home, and this is despite her having chronic fatique syndrome and getting every illness under the sun. this term alone she had to get 2 operations for ovarian cysts and one on her scalp. also she got 2 really bad kidney infections and gotachest infection with a very high fever. the doctor even told her to go home to bed, but she went in and did her xmas exams anyway. she just never gives up. so basically shes great, and im a waster. so i decided i couldnt possibly tell what ihad done and am now pretending im doing my exams. but the lying is getting really hard. she even rang me tonite because she was having a mental block and wanted to knowihow i got through mine( I didnt). so should i tell the truth? i really cant stand the thought of her thinking im a loser and a quiter.

sorry this is such a long question!!!
