How long should a critical illness claim take to complete??
Posted in Health Insurance CostI put in a critical illness claim in October after being medically retured from my job of 21 years as I am suffering from severe memory loss from a brain abnormality(clinical findings) and recurrent seizures. My policy states that it will pay out if I cant do my own occupation and am totally and permanently disabled(relating to being able to do my job) I became unable to remember any new procedures or computer functions etc-I am soon having brain surgery for the seizures the result of which is likely to be even more memory loss.My insurance co have had all medical records,consultant letters,I have had a home visit and now they say they are consulting an independent neurologist. This has been going on for 5 months now -I was wondering how long a CI claim should take?? They have even phoned me asking how my birth father died who I have not seen since I was 2 !!
Any advice would be appreciated…thanks

I wish I could answer, but I’d be guessing.
Still - all the best. That sounds awful. Hopefully, after paying in for that amount of time, the System will pony up and look after you for a bit.
