i ask this because a work mate needed a heart bypass op and refused a blood transfusion despite being an ex jehovah’s witnesses.
i was wondering if this is a common thing?
cecile :- dont get too excited over this. No earthly Government can over rule the word of God. Just because a government say its ok to accept blood doesnt not make it righ tin Gods hands and it is on the concience of the person having blood because the government have banned the watchtower from sanctioning them.
Actually it isnt about sanctioning its about association. just because the watchtower are banned from doing anuthing about it doesnt mean that that person will be welcome in the congregation by the people of the congregation. what will the government do next? choose who we have to associate with?

Jehovah’s Witnesses : Bulgarian Jehovah’s Witnesses Can Now Accept Blood Transfusions - It is a fact.
Since JW in bulgaria allows blood transfusion since 1998, tell your cousin it is OK.
Edit 1: The bulgarian article is very clear and very specific and my quoting the JW authority to use blood is not misguided.. you know, I only n truly quote indeed.
Perhaps you are shocked to read the news, thereby rejecting it.. that’s OK> No one here is twisting your arm. And I am not in a business of converting anyone. I am only sharing what I know.
I insist you take up the bulgarian news with your local JW leaders to clarify their position.

I’m not a Jehovah’s Witness and never have or plan on being one. But my cousin is. She is a doctor and works with those all the time. I think it depends on the person. So yea.

I think the guilt still lingers inside, I knew a few Ex JW and they want nothing to do with the Organisation but still dont celebrate certain things etc, its fear and guilt they still hold.
